Dubnové společné čtení máme za sebou a přichází další měsíc — přidejte se k nám v aplikaci Fable do #klubunavenychrodicu. Do klubu se můžete přidat i když nejste rodiče nebo unavení — čtěte svým vlastním tempem a zapojit se můžete i zpětně. Pro květen padla volba na první díl čarodějnické duologie Karmínová můra – Nelítostný lovec, který už vyšel v českém překladu i s pokračováním; autorka má nedávno další titul v překladu a kniha má převážně pochvalné recenze, i když je to YA. Mě osobně překvapil vysoký počet kapitol — 62 kapitol s krátkými, zhruba pětistránkovými kapitolami — a k sdílení čtecích postupů jsou připravené templates ke stažení pro Instagram a Facebook.

Kniha sleduje Rune, ktorá po revolúcii, keď sú bosorky prenasledované, cez deň predstiera márnivú dedičku a v noci ako Karmínová moľa tajne chráni svojich, pričom sa rozhodne získať informácie lichotením bezcitnému lovcovi Gideonovi a zároveň zapliesť do milostného trojuholníka s Gideonom a Alexom. Autorka sa viac sústredí na vývoj vzťahov, takže ide skôr o romantiku než o rozsiahlu fantasy, čo knihu robí svižnou a návykovou, ale zároveň mi v príbehu chýbalo podrobnejšie vysvetlenie sveta. Postavy sú zaujímavé a kontrastné — Rune je rozporuplná a prefíkaná, Gideon je neodolateľný „bad boy“ a Alex predstavuje spoľahlivého dobráka. Čítanie ma bavilo a chcel by som pokračovanie, no koniec ma poriadne naštval, čo mierne znižuje celkový dojem.
